SP-Indonesia.com, Indonesia – Police have raided the activities of three online gambling sites, MPO999ONE.COM, MALLBETNEW.COM, and 1MPOMEGA.COM, in an investigation into an online gambling ring with a monthly turnover of billions of rupiah in Batam City.
Three suspects, identified as HR (43), HL (35), and ET (40), were finally jailed after police seized IDR 1,001,460,000 in evidence from the online gambling network.
The three suspects were arrested while operating computers and laptops connected directly to the online gambling site dashboard and recording income and expenses through the payment gateway system.
Barelang Police Chief Anggoro Wicaksono said the case began with a public report regarding alleged online gambling activity in the Taman Golf Residence housing complex in Sukajadi Village.
“It started with information from the public regarding alleged online gambling activity in the Taman Golf Residence housing complex in Sukajadi Village,” Anggoro told Suara Pena Indonesia.com on Monday evening (May 25, 2026).
According to Anggoro, suspect HR acted as the main administrator, setting up the website and payment system for the parent company in the Philippines. In practice, profits were split 20 percent for the parent company and 80 percent for suspect HR.
Furthermore, HR also managed the operations of employees in Cambodia, from marketing and admin to customer service, promoting the gambling website and recruiting new members or players.
“Meanwhile, suspects HL and ET were in charge of finance, managing financial transactions, recording cash flows, and sending operational funds and paying salaries to workers in Cambodia,” he added.
Police revealed that the parent company of the online gambling network was based in the Philippines, while the operators and workers were stationed in Cambodia. This online gambling activity is said to have been going on for approximately two years, starting in 2024.
“Based on preliminary investigations, the money in the holding account represents transactions over a period of approximately three days,” Anggoro concluded.
