SP-Indonesia.com, Indonesia – The Head of the Kutai Kartanegara Police Narcotics Unit, Yohanes Bonar Adiguna, was reportedly arrested by the East Kalimantan Regional Police Narcotics Directorate for alleged involvement in a narcotics, psychotropic, and other addictive substance case.
The arrest of the police officer, who holds the rank of Assistant Police Commissioner (AKP), took place in early May 2026. According to information obtained, on May 2, 2026, Yohanes was detained at the Detention and Custody Unit (Tahti) Detention Center of the East Kalimantan Regional Police for further investigation.
Yannis is known to have graduated from the Police Academy in 2015. He has only been serving as Head of the Kutai Kartanegara Police Narcotics Unit since December 2025. Prior to this position, he served as the Sungai Kunjang Police Chief in Samarinda.
The Head of Public Relations for the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Yuliyanto, confirmed Yohanes’s arrest. However, he declined to provide further details as the case is still under investigation.
“That’s right,” Yuliyanto confirmed to SP-Indonesia.com on Sunday afternoon (May 17, 2026).
To date, the East Kalimantan Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate has not officially released the case structure or evidence related to the alleged case.
