SP-Indonesia.com, Indonesia – Ahead of the 2026 International Workers’ Day commemoration, the Karimun Police, Riau Islands Regional Police, held a demonstration simulation to improve personnel preparedness for potential field dynamics.
The activity took place on Thursday (April 30, 2026) at the Karimun Police Bhayangkara Field, led by Yunita Stevani, and attended by key officials and all personnel.
The simulation demonstrated scenarios for handling demonstrations, from early detection of potential disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas) in industrial areas to escalating crowds at the regional legislative office.
Personnel practiced the stages of security procedures in stages, starting with patrols, negotiations, crowd control (Dalmas), and ending with decisive, measured action by the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit if the situation gets out of control.
The Karimun Police Chief emphasized that this activity aimed to ensure all personnel understood their duties and functions according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
“This simulation is to ensure that every stage follows standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure the situation remains safe and conducive,” he said.
The Karimun Police also appealed to the public, especially workers, to express their concerns in an orderly manner and in accordance with applicable laws.
